POTPOURRI
I have been making potpourri for almost 20 years. The following list represents the best of the best. But do not be limited by the scents that I offer here. I will make your favorite scent into a potpourri - or toss up the dried flowers from your wedding, anniversary or any special occasion. You can also buy in bulk, by the pound - see following section. OLDE ENGLISH LAVENDER: My most classic potpourri, based on a 19th century recipe. It has a nice balance of lavender and roses with a hint of spice.
IT'S THE BERRIES! This is always a favorite, with a crisp blend of berry scents with just a hint of citrus. The flower blend has lots of red - in both roses and dried berries and a touch of white 'blossoms.'
OLD FASHIONED ROSE: A lovely blend with deep pink roses and lemon verbena leaves. The scent is a blend of subtle rose fragrances and a little sandalwood.
LILAC: My newest scent, by popular demand. A lovely mix of purple and white flowers and green leaves, with the subtle scent of lilacs.
VICTORIAN GARDEN: Brightly colored mixed blooms with the blend of floral, musk and spice. An old fashioned favorite.
VERMONT FIELD AND FLOWERS: My one truly floral potpourri. I mix wildflowers with leaves, mosses etc. and then add the scent of honeysuckle, hyacinth and other clean florals.
ROMANTIC MOMENTS: The mauves and pinks of exotic flowers blend with one of my most popular scents - a musky floral.
VERMONT CHRISTMAS: I have been blending this potpourri for years - it has the scent of the Christmas' of my youth - Balsam, citrus and a touch of spice. The blend has tiny pine cones, balsam needles, spices, berries and a balance of red roses.
For years I made only one perfume: Scent of a Woman. I have gotten feedback from quite a few women who have worn this perfume. They love the attention they get! They even tell stories of being stopped in every imaginable place and asked what it was they were wearing. I can even attribute one marriage to the power of 'Scent of a Woman.' Well, no wonder - it is based on an aphrodisiac from the 18th century. It's exotic, musky and very distinctive.
Then, a few Christmas' ago, my daughter asked me to make her favorite scent - Jamaican Moon, into a perfume so she could give it to a few of her friends. They loved it! So I added a second perfume to my line. It, too, is slightly musky with vanilla and spice overtones.
The perfumes come in an elegant 1/3-oz 'watch' style (a flat round) bottle with gold cap. They are gift packaged in a small drawstring bag.
